Ronwen Hayden Williams (born January 21, 1992) is a South African professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League and serves as captain of the South Africa national team.

Williams began his career as a youth player with SuperSport United in 2004. He made his CAF Champions League debut in January 2012 against Matlama FC, followed by his first PSL appearance four months later against Free State Stars, keeping clean sheets in both matches.

On July 21, 2022, Williams joined Mamelodi Sundowns after spending 12 years at SuperSport United. He debuted for Sundowns in the 2022–23 season opener against Cape Town City FC, where he made several impressive saves and again kept a clean sheet.

His first appearance for the South African national team came on March 5, 2014, in a friendly against Brazil, stepping in due to a sprained ankle suffered by the starting goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune.

In August 2021, new national team coach Hugo Broos appointed Williams as the captain of Bafana Bafana, succeeding Thulani Hlatshwayo, who was not included in the squad.

On February 3, 2024, during South Africa’s 2023 AFCON quarter-final match against Cape Verde, the game ended 0–0 after extra time. Williams saved four penalties in the shootout, leading Bafana Bafana to their first AFCON semi-final since 2000. Although they lost to Nigeria in another penalty shootout, Williams was awarded the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

In 2024, he was nominated for the Yashin Trophy following his outstanding performances in the African Cup of Nations, where he helped his team secure a third-place finish, as well as in the South African Premier Division, where he won the league with Sundowns.
