Mamelodi Sundowns have finally unveiled the signing of striker Abubeker Nassir after the player obtained his work permit.
The Ethiopia international was initially signed by the Premiership champions in January but was immediately loaned back to his club in his home country.
The 22-year-old joined up with Masandawana for pre-season ahead of the new campaign but could not yet make his debut as he waited for his work permit.
The necessary paperwork has now been completed and Nassir becomes Sundowns’ third signing in the current transfer window following the arrivals of Sipho Mbule and Ronwen Williams.
The Tshwane-based club wrote on their social media accounts: “Masandawana, it’s time to unleash the newest member of our striking department Abubaker Nassir.
“Let’s welcome the Ethiopian attacker to the Home of Champions.”
Morocco defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil and Chilean winger Marcelo Allende are also still expected to arrive at Chloorkop after their two clubs already announced the players’ transfers to Sundowns.
