Abdeslam Ouaddou was pleased with the way Orlando Pirates edged Sekhukhune United 1-0 to secure their place in the semi-finals of the Carling Knockout Cup.
Man of the Match Mpho Padime scored the only goal of the game at the Orlando Amstel Arena in the 31st minute through a well-worked set-piece routine.
Tshepang Moremi picked out Padime inside the box, and the midfielder made no mistake by slotting the ball into the net.
It was the fourth time the Buccaneers had played Babina Noko this season, and their fourth win, with Ouaddou expressing his pride for his team at the end of the match.
He told SuperSport: “The target was to go to the next stage. We knew we were playing a team for the fourth time in a row, and a team who were not coming here to give you the game.
“They were very aggressive and compact, it was difficult to find space, but we manage to score in the first half.
“If we are honest the game could have finished with three or four more goals. But well done to the boys we go to the semifinals.”
Pirates will now face one of the following team in the last four, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Siwelele, Stellenbosch or AmaZulu.
Ouaddou added that whoever they face, they will need to be more clinical.

“Thanks also to the fans for the support. But we have to work on control. We are happy to go to the semi-finals, but not like that,” he said.
“We have to have more control, we were panicking for nothing. We had the opportunity to kill the game but we kicked the ball in the stands, there is still a lot of work to do.”
