Ten Hag embarked on his managerial journey in 2012 at Go Ahead Eagles, where he achieved remarkable success by guiding the club to promotion to the Eredivisie in his inaugural season. Following this, he took on the role of manager at Bayern Munich II in 2013 and accomplished the feat of securing promotion to the Regionalliga Bayern in 2014.
Returning to his native Netherlands in 2015, Ten Hag took up the position of sporting director and head coach at Utrecht. His tenure at Ajax, which commenced in 2017, saw him clinch an impressive three Eredivisie titles and two KNVB Cups. Notably, he steered the team to the semi-finals of the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League, marking a significant milestone in his managerial career.
In a momentous turn of events in 2022, he was appointed as the manager of Manchester United. During his initial two seasons with the club, Manchester United secured victories in the EFL Cup and FA Cup, solidifying Ten Hag’s reputation as a highly successful and influential manager in the world of football.
