AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu says George Maluleka “is a perfect fit” for the DStv Premiership club.
The 33-year-old midfielder joined Usuthu following his release from Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the 2021/22 league season.
He is an experienced campaigner with over 250 top-flight appearances, having previously played for SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town, and Kaizer Chiefs.
Maluleka signed a two-year deal with AmaZulu alongside a raft of new players, including Dumisani Zuma, Gabadihno Mhango, Veluyeko Zulu, and Thendo Makumela.
Zungu said on KickOff: “We are excited about him because not only does he have a pedigree of winning trophies, we felt the need for balance in the team.
“Something ought to be done there in that midfield position and he is a perfect fit for us.
“He is very excited about joining AmaZulu and we are equally excited at him having come to Usuthu. It’s now signed, sealed and delivered. He is a fully-fledged football club player. He is happy and we are happy.”
