TRANSFER NEWS: STELLENBOSCH PART WAYS WITH SALIFU COLLEY

The DStv Premiership club confirmed that Gambian winger Salifu Colley has left Stellenbosch FC by mutual agreement after just one season.

Colley, who joined the Cape Winelands outfit in August last year following an impressive performance at the U20 FIFA World Cup, struggled to secure a regular spot in the first team.

During his time at Stellies, Colley found himself left out in the cold as Devin Titus, Anicet Oura, and Antonio van Wyk were the preferred choices.

“Colley joined Stellenbosch from Real de Banjul at the start of the 2023/24 season and made five appearances throughout his solitary campaign in the Cape Winelands,” the club statement read.

“We thank him for his service and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

In preparation for the upcoming season, Stellenbosch, under the guidance of Steve Barker, have already made strategic signings.

Lehlogonolo Mojela and Sanele Barns have been brought in from TS Galaxy and Richards Bay, respectively.

Additionally, Nhlanhla Mgaga was announced as the first departure from the squad.
