Stellenbosch FC have announced the signing of highly-rated midfielder Sanele Barns from Richards Bay FC.
Stellenbosch Football Club is delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with Richards Bay F.C. for the transfer of Sanele Barns.
Barns has signed a long-term contract in Stellenbosch and joins the Club on the back of an impressive domestic season in which he recorded six goals and seven assists in 35 appearances, and helped Richards Bay retain their top-flight status.
The 27-year-old’s stellar performances throughout the campaign also saw him nominated for the 2023/24 DStv Premiership Midfielder of the Season award.

“He was one of the standout performers in the league last season and we are excited to add a player of his calibre and experience to our squad, especially as we embark on our first-ever campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
