Tinkler: We will continue to believe

Eric Tinkler expects AmaZulu to provide a stern test as Cape Town City look to cement their place in the CAF Champions League with two DStv Premiership games to go.

The Citizens are in second place on the league standings and unbeaten in their last 12 league games, but only three points clear of Royal AM.
They overtook the second placed side in recent weeks but have played one game more.
Usuthu, meanwhile, have risen up to seventh under interim boss Brandon Truter, with three wins and two draws, to all but secure a top-eight place.
Ahead of the weekend’s encounter, Tinkler said on iDiski Times: “They’re gonna be tough.

“We’ve come to the business end of the season right now where everybody’s looking to finish off strong.

“Whether it be in the top four, whether it be in the top eight, whether to be it avoid relegation, or whether it be whether you’re going to be keeping your job or not, that’s just the harsh reality of professional football.

“So, for us, it’s important to focus on ourselves, to rely on no one, but ourselves.

“And continue obviously what we’ve been doing since the turn of the year, which is believing in ourselves, working at a high intensity, the unity that we have within the squad, and the confidence that we currently have in our own ability.

“But we know it’s going to be a tough game.”
