Tickets on sale for the Soweto Derby

Football fanatics will be thrilled with the news that the tickets for South Africa’s most anticipated football match are now on sale. Orlando Pirates will go head to head with Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium in a must-watch DStv Premiership match on 9 March.

The tickets can be purchased on the official PSL ticket vendor with kids’ tickets being sold for R50 while adult tickets start at R100 for Level 5 sitting and R170 for Level 2 sitting.

Kaizer Chiefs will be out for redemption in this clash as their last meeting did not go well for them having suffered a 1-0 defeat in front of their home fans. Evidence Makgopa’s 20th-minute strike sealed the victory for the Buccaneers on this 11th November edition of the Soweto Derby.

This was the period where Amakhosi recently restructured their coaching department with Cavin Johnson taking over as Interim Head Coach after former Head Coach Molefi Ntseki was sacked and his assistant Arthur Zwane was given a new position in the club’s developmental structures.

This is the last match that the Chiefs suffered a loss since with Cavin Johnson at the helm, they have won three out of their last four matches. It will be interesting to see if they can continue with this impressive run after the AFCON break.

Pirates on the other hand, closed off at the back of two back-to-back losses having come out short 3-1 against Supersport United which was followed by a 3-2 loss against Stellenbosch FC in a game where they gave up a 2-0 lead and conceded three goals in less than 10 minutes.
