Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the contract extensions of three first-team stars.
Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that three key first-team stars, Bruce Bvuma, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, and Brandon Petersen have all signed two-year contract extensions.
Each player’s contract reportedly has the option for an additional year included.
Announcing the news on their official website the club confirmed that goalkeeper Bvuma and Petersen would both be staying on at the club – an important piece of business given the on-going troubles of the only other keeper on their books, Itumeleng Khune.
“Kaizer Chiefs have officially offered the talented midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, as well as goalkeepers, Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen, new contracts,” read the announcement.
“This exciting news comes as a reassurance of the club’s faith in the three players’ immense potential and a commitment to securing a bright future for the trio and the team.”
Bvuma has been with the club since joining their academy in 2014 while fellow keeper Petersen has been at Naturena since 2021 when he joined from Bidvest Wits.
Commenting on the players’ new contracts Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr said: “Bruce, Mshini and Brandon have shown immense potential as Chiefs players and have displayed great dedication to the Club.
“We believe in their abilities and are confident that they will continue to be an integral part of our team’s success in the coming years. We are excited to see them reach new heights.”
Meanwhile, Bvuma expressed his delight saying: “I’m extremely humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue representing Kaizer Chiefs.
“This club has been my home for years, and I am highly motivated to work even harder for our fans and to bring more success to the Gold and Black jersey.”
