Thabang Monare Tops the List of Three New Signings at Sekhukhune

Sekhukhune United have announced three new signings, including that of Bafana Bafana and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare.

Monare was released by Pirates at the end of last month and has been quickly snapped up by Babina Noko reportedly on a two-year-year deal with an option to extend for another year, while the club have also signed Namibia international goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua and defender Vuyo Letlapa from Jomo Cosmos.

“Sekhukhune United are delighted to announce the signings of midfielder Thabang Monare, goalkeeper Lloyd Kazapua and left back Vuyo Letlapa,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“Let’s welcome them to the Babina Noko Family!”

The arrivals come after 13 players were released by Sekhukhune at the end of last month, namely Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Collins Makgaka, Lebohang Mabotja, Ntokozo Mtsweni, Thamsanqa Masiya, Rally Bwalya, Maloisane Mokhele, Tashreeq Morris, Michael Sarpong, Tshepo Rikhotso, Kamohelo Mokotjo and Edwin Gyimah.

Sekhukhune have enhanced their credentials greatly after achieving a fourth-placed finish last season which has guaranteed them CAF Confederation Cup football for the upcoming season with more signings expected to be made.

It will be interesting to see how they fare under the leadership of new head coach Peter Hyballa, who replaces Lehlohonolo Seema.
