Stellenbosch FC have reportedly completed the signing of ex-Masandawana man Brian Onyango.

Stellenbosch FC reportedly completed the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Brian Onyango.

According to iDiski Times, The 30-year-old joins the Cape Winelands outfit after his contract expired at Mamelodi Sundowns and becomes a significant addition to Barker’s squad.

Onyango, who previously featured for Maritzburg United, spent four seasons at the Sundowns but struggled for regular game time. Following his release, he briefly trained with SuperSport United before finding a new home at Stellenbosch.

The Kenyan international brings a wealth of experience, including CAF Champions League pedigree, to the club. His signing is seen as a strategic move by Stellies to strengthen their defensive line as they compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The club are currently enjoying a commanding lead in their Confederation Cup tie against Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs, winning the first leg 3-0. With Onyango on board, they will be looking to seal their progression to the next round when they host the return leg this weekend.
