Lehlohonolo Seema has been handed a new role at Siwelele, taking charge of the club’s DStv Diski Challenge team after being removed from his position as first-team coach.
The 46-year-old was suspended alongside assistant Willem Jackson in early September following a difficult start to the 2026-27 campaign. Club boss Calvin Le John has now confirmed that Seema remains part of the organisation, albeit in a different capacity.
“He’s still part of us. Some people will say we have demoted him. He will be our new coach for the DDC,” Le John said during a meeting with supporters on Sunday.
Seema’s appointment means he swaps responsibilities with Godfrey Mosoetsa, who had been coaching the reserve side before taking over the senior team.
Mosoetsa is reportedly expected to remain in charge of the first team until the end of the season, although that arrangement has not been confirmed.

There is also speculation that Siwelele could make a further change, with former Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen reportedly under consideration.
“The club is interested in Clinton Larsen, so don’t be surprised if he takes over along the way,” a source told this publication.
Soccer Laduma reported last month that Larsen was being considered for the position, although no concrete developments have emerged.
Siwelele’s immediate fortunes improved over the weekend when they secured their first victory of the season, beating Polokwane City 1-0 at the Free State Stadium.
The result offered some relief for the club, who sit 14th in the standings after eight matches. Whether Mosoetsa will retain the position for the remainder of the campaign, or whether Siwelele will turn to an experienced alternative, remains uncertain.
