Kaizer Chiefs Eye Oswin Appollis Amidst North African Interest
Kaizer Motaung Jr, Sporting Director of Kaizer Chiefs, has confirmed the club’s interest in Polokwane City‘s winger, Oswin Appollis.
Oswin Reagan Appollis (born 25 August 2001) is a South African soccer player currently playing as a winger for South African Premier Division club Polokwane City and the South African national football team.
The 23-year-old joined City from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Pretoria Callies following a short stint at SuperSport United.
Appollis is a product of Ajax Cape Town Youth Development. He caught the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos following his impressive showings for Polokwane City in the 2023-24 season. He was part of the Bafana squad that came out third in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that was held in Ivory Coast.
At the end of the 2023-24 season, he was linked with a move to Algerian giants MC Alger, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates but were all unsuccessful as he has remained in the books of Polokwane City.
