Oswin Appollis Remains Committed to Polokwane City

Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe has dismissed rumors that Oswin Appollis was distracted by interest from Kaizer Chiefs during the recent transfer window.

The talented 23-year-old defender, who has also earned recognition with the Bafana Bafana national team, was reportedly a top target for the Glamour Boys under new manager Nasreddine Nabi.

Despite the interest, Appollis remains fully focused on his current club and is determined to help Polokwane City build on their successful return to the South African top-flight last season.

Speaking to iDiski Times, Mohafe said: “I think it hasn’t affected him that much psychologically because he knows he has a contract at home with Polokwane City where he has to provide and produce good performances every game he plays.

“For him to keep those guys there [interested] and persisting on him, he should give the good performances.

“For him to remain in the national team, he still has to give good performances for the club, that is Polokwane City.”
