Usuthu claimed their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions after defeating KwaZulu-Natal rivals Golden Arrows at the Princess Magogo Stadium courtesy of another Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya strike.
The recent results have sparked talks of mounting a possible title challenge for the Durban-based outfit with head coach Zwane praising his players form after recent results which sees them occupying third spot on the Betway Premiership table.
“What was key for us was that we’re playing at home, we needed to get maximum points, so credit to the players’s hard-fought win and the continuity we left off in terms of grinding results at home,” said Zwane after beating Abafana Bes’thende.
“Sometimes we play a scrappy game, but as long as we keep on winning, it’s okay because we are a team that’s growing.
