Nasreddine Nabi expecting a tough match against Richards Bay

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi says his side will have to play at 200% if they are to secure a result against Richards Bay on Wednesday.

Amakhosi have two wins from their opening five games of the Betway Premiership to sit in eighth place on the league standings.

The Natal Rich Boyz are down with 12th with just one win and desperate to pick up a morale-boosting victory, reckons Nabi, who doesn’t expect an easy game at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Chiefs last lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup, after a 2-2- league draw with Magesi back in October.

Ahead of the game, Nabi expressed his concerns in the Sowetan: “I think this is a tough game because the situation is not very good for the opponent.

“My team will have to give 200 per cent to get a good result. All games are not easy, but especially this one, because the opponent (really) needs the result. We will go to Polokwane with big morale but we will respect the opponent (too).”

Nabi will, however, have to make do without Angolan defender Inacio Miguel, who is suspended for this game and for the Royal AM tie.

This is Miguel’s second suspension of the campaign.

“I think Miguel’s problem is not discipline,” added Nabi.

“He is a good guy, he is a ‘captain’. But he is new in South African football. He needs time for adaptation – not only to the football, but also the atmosphere.

“I think he wants to give his maximum for Kaizer Chiefs, sometimes it is too much! But he has personality, I love this guy! He has promised me he will be more careful.”
