Lekoelea warns Bucs’ new signings

Former Orlando Pirates winger Steve Lekoelea has warned Bucs’ new signing that playing for a big club comes with its own set of challenges.

The Soweto Giants confirmed six new signing at the end of June, namely – Golden Arrows duo Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki, Baroka FC loanee Evidence Makgopa, Bienvenu Eva Nga from Chippa United and Miguel Timm from Marumo Gallants FC plus Azola Matrose, who has been loaned to Baroka.
In an interview with KickOff.com, Lekoelea has warned the new Pirates signings to expect a very different type of pressure that comes from being associated with big clubs like Amabhakabhaka.
“They’re good players but they need to understand that they are at a big club now. The pressure will be different. Everyone is a coach, even the fans are coaches.

“If you’re not putting in the right performances the fans will let you know about it. That’s just how important the badge is.” Lekoelea tells KickOff.com.
Under new coach José Riveiro, Pirates are expected to bring in a few more players with Arrows midfielder Pule Mmodi being linked to a possible move via various media reports.
Pirates are expected to start their DStv Premiership campaign on 6 August against Swallows FC at Orlando Stadium.
