Former Orlando Pirates midfielder linked with Wolves move

A former Orlando Pirates midfielder is reportedly on the verge of joining English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Marshall Munetsi, who currently plays for Stade Reims in France, has been in impressive form this season, attracting interest from the English club.

Reports suggest that Wolves are nearing an agreement for the 28-year-old Zimbabwe international, as they look to bolster their midfield options.

The club was previously linked with a 20-million-euro bid for Dynamo Kyiv’s Volodymyr Barzhko, but it appears Munetsi has now become a priority target.

Since joining Reims in 2019, Munetsi has established himself as a key player for the Ligue 1 side. This season, he has played 21 matches, scoring four goals and providing two assists.

Munetsi made his mark at Orlando Pirates between 2017 and 2019 before earning a move to France, where he has continued to develop his game. Prior to joining Pirates, he also played for FC Cape Town and Baroka FC in South Africa.

With the European transfer window still open, it remains to be seen whether Wolves will finalize the deal and bring the Zimbabwean star to the English Premier League.
