Evidence Makgopa, who was born on 5 June 2000, is a talented South African soccer player known for his proficiency as a forward. Currently, he is a key player for the Orlando Pirates in the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) and also represents the South African national team.
Notably, he showcased his skills by representing the South Africa under-23 team at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Makgopa’s journey to success began when he was scouted by Baroka in 2018 and subsequently promoted to their first team from their development squad in January 2020.
His debut for the club on 23 February 2020 in a 2–2 Nedbank Cup draw with Hungry Lions was memorable as he scored their second goal, propelling them to the next round of the competition after winning the penalty shoot-out.
In his league debut on 1 March 2020, despite a 2–1 defeat to Bloemfontein Celtic, Makgopa displayed his potential. The following week, he shone by scoring a brace in a 2–0 victory over Black Leopards, marking his first league goals for the club.
Throughout the 2019–20 season, Makgopa made 11 appearances for Baroka in all competitions, impressively scoring 5 goals and leaving a lasting impact on the team.
