Evidence Makgopa, 22, is relatively inexperienced, and unproven, but his call up to Bafana Bafana has made his name ‘hot property’. With 15 goals and seven assists in 71 club appearances, the relegation of Baroka makes him a great addition to any PSL side.
Cameroonian centre-forwaed, Bienvenu Eva Nga, will be delighted with his departure from Chippa United to Pirates. The 29-year-old has caught the eye of a few prominent clubs, but the deal to join Amabhakabhaka is signed and the hope is for him to deliver.
Miguel Timm has shockingly not got his step up to a “bigger club” earlier than this announcement. The well rounded midfielder joins Pirates after making just short of 200 South African top flight appearances across clubs like Maritzburg United, TTM/Maurmo Gallants, and Bidvest Wits among others.
Another midfield signing, and from Chippa United, Azola Matrose a 22-year-old joins the fray and will fight for his place alongside a host of names in the middle of the park.
The Club confirmed that the following players will not be part of the new season:

– Justice Chabalala
– Elson Sithole
– Wayne Sandilands
– Thabang Monare
Sandilands’ contract ends on June 30 and will not be renewed. The Club is currently in discussions with Management regarding another role at the Club, whereas contractual discussions with Monare have collapsed as the two parties could not agree on terms.
