English Premier League: Gameweek 37 Preview

Bournemouth head coach Eddie Howe

With the FA Cup taking much of our attention this weekend, league action continues with the race for survival and the European places heating up in the business end of the campaign. Down at the bottom, Bournemouth host Southampton in what will be like a cup final for the Cherries. Before that, Burnley will be pushing for a top-half finish when they travel to already-relegated Norwich.

Friday 17 July

West Ham 14/10

Draw 2/1

Watford 23/10

(21:00)

Friday night sees West Ham and Watford do battle at the London Stadium with both sides looking to distance themselves from the drop zone. West Ham and Watford sit in 16th and 17th spot, level on 34 points with goal difference putting the hosts higher on the table. The Hammers come off the back of an all-relegation scramble last weekend when they smashed Norwich 4-0, confirming their relegation to the Championship. The Hornets also come into this encounter with some decent form, winning their last two ties against Newcastle and Norwich. Both Teams to Score looks the best bet here at 7/10.

Saturday 18 July

Norwich City 23/10

Draw 23/10

Burnley 5/4

(18:30)

With two more games of top-flight football left and the last one being away to Manchester City, this will be Norwich’s last crack at salvaging some belief going into the Championship in hope that their stay in the second tier isn’t as long as the club’s previous spell in the division. Burnley are on a six-game unbeaten run and famously drew 1-1 at Anfield, becoming the first and only team to take points from Liverpool on their home turf. Norwich are on an eight-game losing streak, which makes Burnley a banker bet here at 5/4.

Sunday 19 July

Bournemouth 13/10

Draw 26/10

Southampton 39/20

(15:00)

With a huge mountain to climb in hope of surviving, Bournemouth will know that anything short of a win could see their chances of staying in the league diminish before their eyes. The Cherries showed plenty of fight against Manchester City, despite losing 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium and claimed an emphatic 4-1 win over Leicester City in their last home outing. Southampton have certainly not been goal shy this season, but come into this tie off the back of three draws in a row. My money is on the Home/Draw Double Chance & Over 2.5 Goals at 16/10.

Tottenham 27/20

Draw 24/10

Leicester City 2/1

(17:00)
