AmaZulu will be eyeing a move into the top half of the DStv Premiership table on Friday when they host a struggling Cape Town Spurs side.
Usuthu are in 10th position in the league and could climb up to sixth place with a win over their visitors.
In their most recent outing, AmaZulu beat Sekhukhune United 1-0.
Meanwhile, The Cape Town side are rooted to the bottom of the standings with only three points from 14 games. Their only win was against Orlando Pirates last month.
They are already 12 points below 14th position and require a run of wins to raise their hopes of survival.
Spurs skipper Clayton Daniels remains optimistic about turning their fortunes around, despite the dire situation they find themselves in.
“We know our situation, and it is not like our opponents are running all over us,” said Daniels.
“We must take the field with a positive mindset, and that will set the platform to collect maximum points.
“Every game we play is like a cup game for us because of our position. Playing at the famous Moses Mabhida Stadium will help to raise our game.”
