Chippa United have announced the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Gadinkame Modise.
The 25-year-old joined the Brazilians in 2016 but has spent most of his time at the Betway Premiership club out on loan.
He has turned out for the likes of Maritzburg United, JDR Stars and All Stars, and spent last season with the Chilli Boys, playing 17 times.
He has now signed a permanent three-year contract wiith Chippa.
A club statement read: “Chippa United FC and Mamelodi Sundowns Fc have agreed on a transfer for Gadinkame Modise. The player has signed a 3-year deal with us.”
Chippa have also tied goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali to a new three-year deal ahead of naming him captain.
“We are pleased to announce that Stanley Nwabali has signed an improved three-year contract with Chippa United FC,” continued the statement.
“We are incredibly proud of Stanley’s dedication and commitment to the club. His leadership on and off the field has been exemplary, and we believe he is the right person to guide our team through the challenges ahead.
“With this been said Stanley will be our new team captain for the upcoming season. We wish Stanely continued success in his career, both in domestic competitions and on the international stage. We look forward to achieving great things together in the seasons to come.”
