Babina Noko saw off AmaZulu 4-3 in their MTN8 quarter-final clash as the Buccaneers beat Durban city 2-1.
Pirates, though have won the last four MTN8 titles while Sekhukhune’s best effort in the competition came in the 2025 where they made it to the semi-finals before exiting to Stellenbosch.
Sekhukhune actually face Pirates in the league next week, meaning that their next three games are against Abdeslam Ouaddou’s charges.
“It’s a very big week for us, playing the same team three times,” Kaze said on IOL.
“We know how big is the mountain we need to climb, but we are preparing ourselves and want to compete.

“Starting on Saturday, for the first leg we need to be our best. We need to show our intentions, we need to have our mind and our plan clear.”
