Cape Town Spurs captain Clayton Daniels says every game is like a cup final for the struggling DStv Premiership side.
Spurs are rock bottom of the standings with just three points from their opening 14 games since their promotion from the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.
They recorded a 2-1 league victory over Orlando Pirates under the guidance of interim boss Sean Connor in November but have lost their other 13 ties, including their last three under new head coach Ernst Middendorp.
Next up for Daniels’ team is an away clash with AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday.
He said on IOL: “We know our situation, and it is not like our opponents are running all over us.
“We must take the field with a positive mindset, and that will set the platform to collect maximum points.
“Every game we play is like a cup game for us because of our position. Playing at the famous Moses Mabhida Stadium will help to raise our game.”
