Both AmaZulu, Richards Bay want to sign Mbidana

Richards Bay FC have joined AmaZulu FC in trying to sign young midfielder Sifiso Mbidana from ABC Motsepe League side Bizana Pondo Chiefs.


According to a KickOff.com source, AmaZulu who have already submitted an offer to sign 19-year-old Mbidana, who was was part of the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad for the COSAFA tournament.
But now Richards Bay have also entered the mix and are wanting to sign the youngster.
“Both AmaZulu and Richards Bay are interested to sign the youngster. AmaZulu have already submitted an official offer to his team in the Eastern Cape,” says the KickOff.com source.
“Richards Bay have made contact but it looks like AmaZulu are pushing hard to sign him,” he adds.

Bizana Pondo Chiefs chairman Nathie Mqokiyana admits to KickOff.com that there is a strong possibility they will lose Mbidane to a DStv Premiership side this season.

“The youngster is something special. The boy is currently doing matric. We are proud of his achievements after being called up for Bafana Bafana.

“This has never happened in our team, a boy from a rural area achieving such a milestone.

“Yes, there is interest. At the moment I wouldn’t want to talk about the teams interested. The bottom line is that he won’t be playing for us next season,” Mqokiyana says.
