All eyes are on the MTN8!

The MTN8 quarter-finals for the 2024/25 season promise thrilling encounters as the top eight teams battle for the prestigious title. Orlando Pirates are the current champions and lifted their 12th MTN8 title last season after an intense battle in the final with arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Sea Robbers have won three of the last four MTN8 finals with the last two being back-to-back. Despite not reaching the levels to claim the league title, Spanish coach Jose Riveiro is considered the ‘Master’ when it comes to tournament competitions.

Riveiro has dominated the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup in recent times, and with the successful pre-season tour, they had out in Spain, a third consecutive MTN8 title looks to be a reality if they can carry that momentum into this Cup competition.

Here are the fixtures and what to expect from the competition!

1/1 Stellenbosch | Draw 21/10 | TS Galaxy 5/2 (15:00)

Stellenbosch FC finished in third place, showing remarkable consistency and skill. Their matchup against TS Galaxy will be closely watched as they aim to progress further in the tournament. Steve Barker’s team has emerged as one of the most well-run organizations in the PSL and is certainly one of the teams to go the full distance in this competition.

TS Galaxy secured sixth place last season, their highest-ever finish in the PSL, and will be eager to make their mark in the MTN8. This will be their first appearance in this prestigious Cup and if last season is anything to go by then The Rockets will have no problem competing at the highest level.
