Xavi wants Morata from Atletico Madrid

Alvaro Morata

Barcelona’s struggles up front this season are no secret, now reports suggest coach Xavi Hernandez is looking to make a move to sign Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata, who is on loan at Juventus.

According to journalist Javi Miguel, Xavi is a huge fan of the 29-year-old Morata and sees him as the ideal signing for his Barcelona plans going forward.
Morata is reportedly unhappy at Juventus and would love a move from Turin in January. The report suggests he has been contacted by Barcelona, who have offered him a deal that would exceed a six-month loan.
So far this season, Morata has struggled and in 18 games has scored five goals along with two assists.
The Catalan Giants, though, have been linked to a number of other attacking players, including – Erling Haaland, Hakim Ziyech, Raheem Sterling, Edinson Cavani and Joao Felix.
With Ousmane Dembele on the way out of Camp Nou the club will be desperately looking to add another forward or two to their squad during the January transfer window.
