AmaZulu have bolstered their attacking ranks with the acquisition of Slovakian striker Miloš Lačny on a free transfer.
Lačny is brought in to the squad as a ready-made replacement for Ovidy Karuru, who recently joined Stellenbosch FC.
Lačny was on the books of Slovakian top flight side SKF Sered before being released in July last year since when he has been without a club.
“Yeah, we are working on that [new signing] – the striker should come as a replacement for him [Karuru]. We must do the administration and we will see when he will join us,” confirmed Vukušič.
“We have a striker from Slovakia, whose name is Miloš Lačny – he’s a number-nine; he has scored goals and played for big clubs in Europe, so he is a quality player.
“He’s now still in Slovakia, but he will fly in in a few days’ time [once his paperwork is sorted out].”
Kaizer Chiefs’ Serbian star Samir Nurkovic also learnt his trade in the Slovakian league.
