Uganda goalkeeper Magoola joins Durban City as a free agent

The 31-year-old spent four seasons with the Natal Rich Boys, making 85 appearances while maintaining 34 clean sheets before leaving the club after Kenyan international Ian Otieno became their preferred starter.

“Durban City FC is pleased to announce the signing of Ugandan international goalkeeper, Salim Magoola,” read the club’s social media post.

“A new chapter begins in Blue & White. Welcome to the Citizens family, Magoola.”

Magoola becomes the first signing for City under new head coach Eric Tinkler, who replaced former Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef during the recent FIFA international break.
