These are the champions!

Yes, I’ve sung you the UEFA Champions League anthem (for the second year in a row) because I’m excited and you should be too!

Wednesday 20 September

4/10 Real Madrid | Draw 4/1 | Union Berlin 13/2 (18:45)

Real Madrid is unbeaten so far this term, they are the most successful team in this competition, and without wasting any more time I’d advise you get fully behind the 4/10 on offer!

6/10 Galatasaray | Draw 31/10 | Copenhagen 42/10 (18:45)

Galatasaray have managed to put together a solid side during the summer and given some of the comments which have come out of their camp recently, it is clear they aim to impress in Europe.

I think Copenhagen will struggle to compete and keep up with the game, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them score given their free-flowing style. Nevertheless, I think back the home win.

9/20 Bayern Munich | Draw 42/10 | Manchester United 52/10 (21:00)

This is a massive game for a variety of reasons, within the context of this group and possibly their respective tournaments. I think the way to the money here though is staying away from a result.

Munich have only kept one clean sheet and they face a United team who have scored in four of their five games. Both teams to score is the play for me!

4/10 Benfica | Draw 4/1 | Salzburg 6/1 (21:00)

I really like Benfica; they are a neat and classy team totally committed to their pressing style and playing with a fierce pace. Off the back of that, they can cause serious issues for this Salzburg side…

They have scored eleven times in just four fixtures, and I don’t think they can be contained at home. Get on the home win.

34/10 Braga | Draw 28/10 | Napoli 8/10 (21:00)

Much like the Bayern and United game, this is a game where both teams scoring seems a banker. Braga have seen both scoring in seven of their last eight games and Napoli have in all of their first four.

4/10 Arsenal | Draw 42/10 | PSV 6/1 (21:00)

Arsenal has a great record in Europe under Mikel Arteta. They haven’t conceded a goal in a group stage all throughout last season and I suspect that might continue on Wednesday evening.

PSV failed to earn three points on any occasion in their last Champions League campaign and I think that might prove difficult to change at the Emirates. Back the home win.

9/10 Sevilla | Draw 51/20 | Lens 31/10 (21:00)

The hosts have made a horrendous start in La Liga, but I wouldn’t read too much into that here. Lens have lost four of their last five games and given their inexperience on a big European stage…I back Sevilla.

43/20 Real Sociedad | Draw 9/4 | Inter 27/20 (21:00)

I suspect the Italian side will want to build on their run from last year and given their domestic start – they look good for it. Interestingly, nobody in the champions League kept more clean sheets than Inter and after conceding on just one occasion this season I think they win this to nil.
