Truter given permanent head coach role at AmaZulu

AmaZulu have promoted Brandon Truter from interim coach to a permanent post ahead of the upcoming season.

Truter replaced the sacked Benni McCarthy at the end of March in a temporary role and has done well in his short stint guiding the Durbanites up the table to eventually finish in seventh position.
The former Swallows FC boss was given the mandate of getting the club into the top eight come the end of the season and successfully did so.
AmaZulu club chairman Sandile Zungu confirmed the news to KickOff.
“Yes, I can confirm Brandon Truter will get his permanent appointment as coach, he did well under the circumstances,” Zungu said.
“And quite clearly we were not going to make a top-eight finish at the rate which we were going.

“He’s done well to secure a seventh position finish, I can’t go into details but he’s going to be our permanent coach.

“He is going to take the team through the pre-season, and he can’t wait to get started, and we wish him well.

“So yes, I do confirm that Brandon Truter will be our man for the coming season and we are excited, he’s proved himself.”
