SuperSport United eye redemption against in-form Polokwane City

SuperSport United will face Polokwane City in a Betway Premiership clash at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday.

The match promises to be a crucial encounter for both sides as they aim to solidify their league positions.

Currently 10th in the standings, SuperSport United are seeking to recover from a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Sekhukhune United. A victory would help them edge closer to the top five and regain momentum.

Polokwane City, on the other hand, are enjoying a stellar run, sitting 4th in the league.

Unbeaten in their last five matches, including two wins and three draws, the team is determined to extend their streak and bolster their ambitions for a top-three finish.

Phuti Mohafe should be commended for the great work that he has been doing. Rise and Shine will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

“We have great quality in the team and great depth in this team. I think we shouldn’t be undermined anymore. We just need to see Polokwane with more depth. So we have depth and quality, and no one is not replaceable. Everyone in the team can be replaced,” said Mohafe.

The past two meetings between these two teams ended in 1-1 draws respectively and another draw may be on the card.
