The former Orlando Pirates mentor saw his chargers enter the fixture with a seven-game winning streak and a comfortable position atop the NBC Premier League. Their historical dominance over JKT, having won all five previous encounters, suggested a straightforward victory. Nevertheless, their opponents proved to be a stubborn customer with a goalless first half.
The deadlock was finally broken in the second half when substitute Jean Ahoua converted a stoppage-time penalty, securing the win for Wekundu wa Msimbazi.
