Sead Ramovic promises to return to winning ways following loss to Orlando Pirates

TS Galaxy coach, Sead Ramovic, remains positive that his side will bounce back following a slow start to their Betway Premiership campaign which has seen them rooted at the bottom of the log.

The Mpumalanga-based team are yet to record a league win having managed to collect a mere one point in five games after suffering four losses and one draw.

Galaxy fell short to high-flying Orlando Pirates 2-0 on Tuesday evening, with goals from Thalente Mbatha and Relebohile Mofokeng extending Galaxy’s winless run.

“We had some moments, we had some chances where we could score but we didn’t and then it’s not easy of course. I also have to give a lot of credit to Kamogelo Sebelebele, yes he got a second yellow card (followed by a red card) but he is a top player, and he’s a very great professional player, he will be back after two games,” said Ramovic in his post-match interview.

He further added that despite the loss, his side should not feel bad because they showed character and played good football.

“We will not feel sorry for ourselves. We played a very good game and we will just continue because if you play well and the results don’t come now you are not so worried about it because you will get the points.”

The 45-year-old thanked the fans for coming out in their numbers to rally behind the team and vowed to turn the situation around and fight for a top-eight finish. The Rockets finished in sixth position last season.

“I can promise to all our great supporters that came, also a big thank you, that we will collect the points and we will fight for the top eight spot. It looks bad, yes, it is, but we have to stay positive, why? Because we are training well, we are playing well and the results will come, absolutely no doubt about it.”

The Bosnian tactician questioned the number of away games that his side had been dealt with since the start of the 2024/25 season. The Rockets have played five out of their seven games this season away.

“Again, yes, we are in a difficult situation because we have to play seven away games out of eight. I never see this in any other league, but okay we take it like this, we have now again three away games. Crazy but we will collect the points and we will hit back, no problem at all,” Ramovic concluded.

Tim Sukazi’s club are set to return to Mbombela Stadium to battle the giant slayers Magesi FC on Sunday, 3 November in the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal set to kick-off at 15:00.
