Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori has reportedly signed with AmaZulu FC. The 30-year-old became a free agent after his contract with Pirates expired at the end of the 2023/24 season.
Ofori enjoyed a successful stint at Pirates, winning three MTN8 titles and two Nedbank Cup trophies. He made 58 appearances for the club, keeping 29 clean sheets and conceding 35 goals. He also represented Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations.
AmaZulu, aiming to strengthen their goalkeeping department, have secured Ofori’s services. He is expected to compete with Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Veli Mothwa and Olwethu Mzimela for the starting spot.
