Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for their third match in just six days as they travel to Cape Town to face Stellenbosch in their upcoming Betway Premiership fixture on Friday evening.
Amakhosi kicked off the second half of their league campaign with an exciting 2-2 draw against AmaZulu FC at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.
Despite the result, Chiefs remain in fifth place on the standings, having accumulated 22 points from 16 matches. Stellenbosch, closely trailing in sixth place, have earned 20 points from 13 games.

Stellenbosch will be looking for redemption after their 2-1 loss to Chiefs in the first round on January 8, a defeat they will want to avenge when they host the Amakhosi this Friday.
Meanwhile, Chiefs will be determined to break their recent winless run, having secured just one point from their last two outings, and will be eager to avoid a third consecutive match without victory.
Coach Nasreddine Nabi made six changes to his starting line-up in each of the last three matches. He also gave his three new signings Tashreeq Morris, Thabo Cele and Glody Lilepo their first starts for Amakhosi on Tuesday against AmaZulu
The coach and his technical team will be happy to welcome Njabulo Blom back from his one match suspension as they prepare for this important encounter.
Nabi at least feels that their new signings have added some quality and depth to their squad: “We are happy with Tashreeq Morris, Glody Lilepo and Thabo Cele, the proof is that the two goals we scored [in a 2-2 draw with AmaZulu in midweek], one on Tashreeq, the second one on Lilepo, even though Thabo Cele got a little bit tired, he brings a lot of fluidity in midfield, a lot of smartness too.”
Nabi added, “We feel that the three signings are very good and they are going to help the team a lot.”
