Orlando Pirates have welcomed the return of Paseka Mako from injury.
The 30-year-old left-back has been sidelined for almost a year, having sustained knee ligament damage while on international duty last October.
Mako was making his South Africa debut in a friendly against Eswatini.
Now following successful surgery and a significant time in recovery, Mako is ready to rejoin his teammates.
Speaking to the club’s website, Mako expressed his delight at overcoming injury and making a return to full fitness.
He said: “I’m so excited to be back on the field.
“The journey wasn’t easy but I’m eager to rejoin the team and contribute to the team’s success. It’s time to push myself. I’m ready to give my all again.
“Thanks to everyone who encouraged and supported me during my recovery.”
Pirates start their Betway Premiership campaign at home to Chippa United on Wednesday.
