Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi wants his team to improve their finishing after only overcoming struggling Richards Bay 2-1 in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday.
Wandile Duba opened the scoring at the Peter Mokaba Stadium after 21 minutes and Ashley Du Preez added to the score with his goal on 68 minutes, even as Chiefs saw themselves reduced to 10 men when Reeve Frosler was dismissed with 48 minutes on the clock.
Yanela Mbuthuma, meanewhile, netted a 91st minute consolation goal for Richards Bay.
The result left Amakhosi in sixth place on league standings with 10 points, and the Natal Rich Boyz in 14th with five points.
Nabi though wanted his team to pile the pressure on their opponets, having seen Given Msimango and Bradley Cross both miss clear-cut goalscoring opportunities.
The head coach told SuperSport after the game: “The efficiency in the final third needs more work.
“This (finishing) is a big problem for the team, not only in this game. Maybe against all the teams (we have played) we created too many opportunities without scoring.
“Maybe it is confidence, but we will work hard on this in the future.”
