While the rest of the league have already played one league game, the Brazilians took an extra week off as they continued to mourn the devastating passing of Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams.
They come into this game on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 extra-time win over Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarterfinals, as the Rockets drew 2-2 with Siwelele.
The last time Sundowns faced Galaxy was their last game of last season where they needed a win to stay in the title race, but they lost 3-2.
“To be honest, we have to win against them,” Zwane said on IOL.
“Every time we play them, they give us a tough time but we know it’s not going to be easy, but we have to push.”

Reflecting on their recent win where Antonio Van Wyk and Cassius Mailula both scored, the veteran midfielder added: “I think they’re doing well, the guys welcomed them very well, we are happy to have them.
“They’re quality players and that’s why they’re here.
“The preparations have obviously not been that much but upon arrival here in Mpumalanga, we got to rewatch the TS Galaxy game,” Zwane aded ahead of the tie.
“We know exactly what to expect, especially the game we played last time when we were here.”
