Muhsin Ertugral expresses dissatisfaction with officiating after Magesi defeat

Cape Town City coach Muhsin Ertugral expressed his frustration with the officiating following his team’s 2-0 loss to bottom-of-the-log side Magesi.

The loss to Magesi marked the Citizens’ third consecutive defeat, with Ertugral still struggling to turn things around after his appointment, following Eric Tinkler’s dismissal due to poor results.

In a post-match interview, Ertugral voiced his dissatisfaction, claiming that his team was undone by a dubious penalty and a foul on goalkeeper Darren Keet, which left him feeling aggrieved.

“I think a summary of the game, whether technically or tactically, should only be done once a proper review of the match has been conducted,” said the Turkish-born coach.

“Can you not see what is against us?”

“We wanted to change the game. This has nothing to do with technical or tactical issues. We didn’t play football today.

“It seems to me that every week our opponents get a penalty against us, and for me, that’s a bit questionable. I can’t find the words.”
