Molefi Ntseki says one of the reason’s for Kaizer Chiefs’ slow start to the season is having too many new players.
Amakhosi made a number of pre-season signings to beef up their squad after yet another underwhelming season last time around.
They have so far struggled with results and currently occupy eighth place on the DStv Premiership standings with three wins from nine games.
Clubs are currently on a break due to the international matches taking place and Chiefs return to action against Golden Arrows on 28 October.
Speaking after his side was drawn against AmaZulu in the Carling Knockout Cup, Ntseki admitted it will take time for improvements to be made.
He said on FARPost: “If you look at it, I think we’ve had too many new players come in. Like I always say, team preparation is a process and a process that comes with pressure from within, especially when you look at those individual players.
“When you come from another team, coming to Kaizer Chiefs, the pressure is different. The demands are different. We’ve done very well as a club to get the players on the same page.
“I’m just worried about us not scoring, but in terms of the tactical cohesion, that is coming right with the club. I think we’ll turn the corner and start enjoying working at Kaizer Chiefs by winning games.”
