Lucas Ribeiro Costa (born October 9, 1998) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Mamelodi Sundowns in the South African Premier Division.
Ribeiro Costa began his career in the youth ranks at Pinheiros before moving to France to join Valenciennes. He made his professional debut with Virton in a 3-2 victory over Roeselare in the Belgian First Division B on October 27, 2019. He signed with Charleroi on June 30, 2020.
On February 1, 2021, he was loaned to RWDM in the Belgian First Division B until the end of the season. Later, on August 11, 2021, he joined Mouscron on a season-long loan with an option to buy. However, on January 19, 2022, that loan was terminated, and Ribeiro Costa was sent to Waasland-Beveren on loan until the season’s end. The buy option was exercised on April 6, and he signed a two-year contract with Waasland-Beveren.
On July 6, Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed his transfer for an undisclosed fee. He made his debut for Sundowns on August 4 in the Premier Soccer League, contributing to a 2-1 victory against Sekhukhune United, where he scored his first goal for the club in the 57th minute.
On November 12, 2022, he celebrated his first trophy with Mamelodi Sundowns as they defeated Wydad Casablanca 2-0 (3-2 on aggregate) in the second leg of the African Football League final in Pretoria.
