KEAGAN DOLLY: KAIZER CHIEFS DOESN’T FEAR ORLANDO PIRATES

The two fierce rivals go head-to-head for the first time this season with just one place and one point separating the DStv Premiership sides.

While Amakhosi are in sixth place with 29 points from 19 games, the Buccaneers occupy fifth spot, on 30 points.

Pirates dropped points in the lead up to this game with a 1-1 draw with bottom-side Cape Town Spurs, but Chiefs managed to overcome Golden Arrows 1-0 on Tuesday.

Dolly said in the Sowetan: “There’s no way I am going to stand here and tell you guys [the journalists] that I am afraid of Pirates.

“I am not going to lie to look good on camera and say I am afraid of them, and their players should also be saying the same. It’s a derby, it’s a football match, so we should go out there and compete.”

Dolly has struggled with injuries this season, and has just seven league appearances under his belt, with one assist.

The player added: “Obviously, it’s not my happiest season. I haven’t been playing much, picking up small niggles here and there.

“I am coming back, trying to get to where I was when I joined the team. I want to start scoring goals and also getting those assists.”
