The 21-year-old was approaching the end of his contract with the Soweto giants in June, but the club acted quickly to retain his services beyond next season.

Duba enjoyed a strong second half of the season, scoring three goals after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations break to help his side secure a CAF Confederation Cup spot after finishing third on the 2025/26 Betway Premiership.

The Chiefs development product has made 60 appearances in all competitions for Amakhosi, scoring nine goals while also providing five assists.

According to media reports, the club is widely expected to announce French coach Fernando Da Cruz to lead the side in the 2026/27 season and Duba will be hoping to continue getting game time under the new mentor.
