Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador Jerry Sikhosana joins Nedbank Ke Yona Coaching Team
The Nedbank Ke Yona Team Talent Search that travels around South Africa looking for promising young players recently got a new member. Jerry “Legs of Thunder” Sikhosana former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates legend signed on for this season. He joins well-known former Kaizer Chiefs player Doctor Khumalo as well as the head coach Khabo Zondo who has been part of the team since it was started in 2013.
Sikhosana is proud to be associated with this amazing team. “I am excited about this opportunity to be out there in the public doing something similar to what I do for Hollywoodbets as one of their Brand Ambassadors. As part of the actual coaching team I am looking forward to going to different places in SA to see the wonderful talent all around. I’m happy to be able to work with big brands like both Nedbank and Hollywoodbets as they support South African soccer,” he said.
He has already shown himself capable of discovering talent by identifying a young boy from Limpopo as a promising player. In 2017 young Tshifhiwa “King” Maligudu’s life was changed forever when Sikhosana saw his skills during a soccer tournament held on a dusty field in a small Limpopo village. King is now based at the Kaizer Chiefs Academy thanks to Jerry’s recommendation.
Hollywoodbets sponsored King’s trip to Johannesburg where he tried out for the academy and they continue to support his journey. In fact, the company is so proud of King and his achievements that his story is featured and celebrated on one of their commercials entitled Hope is Power.
The team at Hollywoodbets are also proud of Jerry for having his talent as scout recognised by this fantastic initiative. “We already know Jerry has a keen eye for talent so we are thrilled that Nedbank Ke Yona chose to bring him onto their team and we look forward to seeing more local talent being discovered because of his involvement.
