With just 8 rounds of Serie A football to go, Roma will be aiming to keep the pressure on Juventus.

So it’s back to the drawing board after my pocket took a small hit last weekend. But like they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and a little bit wiser. Hopefully that wisdom prevails in my tipping this week because I’m on a mission to make some money! Napoli and Juventus shared the spoils last time out with Roma capitalising and reducing the points difference to just six at the top of the table. With just eight rounds of Serie A football to go, Roma will be aiming to keep the pressure on Juve in the hope of a late catastrophic collapse.

Saturday 8 April

8/10 Empoli | Draw 11/4 | Pescara 3/1 (15:00)

Empoli have been on a downward spiral in recent weeks, suffering seven consecutive defeats. They need to be careful that they don’t fall into the relegation zone, with only five points separating Empoli from the bottom three. Pescara showed some backbone last time out, earning a hard-fought and well-deserved 1-1 home draw against AC Milan. The stalemate should give them a bit of confidence to go one better against a vulnerable Empoli side. Get on the Pescara Win/Draw Double Chance at 19/20.

5/10 Atalanta | 32/10 | Sassuolo 47/10 (18:00)

Atalanta have been in top form of late with two wins on the bounce, scoring eight goals without conceding, including a 5-0 thrashing of Genoa last time out. La Dea have won 10 of their 14 matches on their ground and will look to build on that. Sassuolo have been dismal in recent weeks with 3 losses on the trot. They have struggled away from home and should go down here. The home win is tipped confidently.

2/9 Juventus | 47/10 | Chievo Verona 11/1 (20:45)

After Napoli and Juventus played to a 1-1 draw last Sunday, the table-toppers will be eager to get back to winning ways with Roma just six points off the defending champions. The Old Lady will return to home soil where they have won all their matches, scoring 38 goals and conceding just 15 times in 15 games. Chievo were disappointing last time out, going down 2-1 in their own backyard against relegation-bound Crotone. They have now lost back-to-back matches and with Juventus up next, it looks set to be three defeats on the spin. Take Juve on the (-1) Handicap at 13/20.

Sunday 9 April

18/10 Sampdoria | 24/10 | Fiorentina 14/10 (12:30)

Following a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of log-leaders Juventus, Sampdoria returned to winning ways on Monday night with an impressive 2-1 victory away to Inter Milan. Doria have now won three of their last four matches with Fiorentina up next to do battle. The Viola have also been in great form in recent weeks, unbeaten in their last five matches, including three 1-0 wins on the spin. A tight affair is on the cards but Sampdoria are tipped on the Win/Draw Double Chance at 5/10.

15/20 Udinese | 26/10 | Genoa 34/10 (15:00)

Udinese will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run of four matches when they play host to Genoa. Zebrette thumped Palermo 4-0 in their last home game and will be aiming for a similar performance on Sunday. Their opponents, Genoa, have been horrendous in recent weeks with three straight losses, conceding seven times without scoring, including a 5-0 hammering on home soil at the hands of a rampant Atalanta side. The home team should be backed.

15/2 Crotone | 17/4 | Inter Milan 3/10 (15:00)

Crotone come into this game off the back of their first away win of the season, edging Chievo 2-1. The relegation-candidates will look to build on that momentum but will find it difficult against Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri have been disappointing of late, suffering a 2-1 defeat on home soil against Sampdoria. Crotone will boast plenty of confidence after their victory last time out, while Inter Milan have more than enough quality to find the back of the net. Both Teams to Score is tipped at 9/10.

11/2 Bologna | 7/2 | Roma 9/20 (15:00)

Bologna are coming off a 1-0 defeat away to Fiorentina. They have lost four of their last five home games and to make matters worse, Roma come to town this weekend. The title-chasers have been in great form with three wins in a row, scoring eight goals and conceding just once. Roma are unbeaten against Bologna in the last six meetings, including a 3-0 victory in the reverse tie. Back the away team to claim maximum points.

2/1 Cagliari | 49/20 | Torino 12/10 (15:00)

Cagliari impressed last time out with a 3-1 win at Palermo, ending a run of three matches without a victory. They have been decent at home with seven wins from 14 games but are winless in their last four on their turf. Torino have lacked consistency this season. In their last nine matches, both sides have found the back of the net, while the last seven has produced Over 2.5 Goals – get on the latter at 6/10!

3/10 AC Milan | 9/2 | Palermo 17/2 (15:00)

AC Milan were held to a 1-1 draw at Pescara last time out but will gladly return to their ground where they have won their last three home games. The Rossoneri have won 10 of their 15 matches on their ground. Relegation-threatened Palermo have been dreadful with four losses on the trot. The reverse tie ended 4-0 in favour of Milan and they are tipped to pull the double over their opponents. Get on the Half-time/Full-time home win at 15/20.

7/4 Lazio | 49/20 | Napoli 14/10 (15:00)

Lazio are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in all competitions, at the time of writing, with eight wins and two draws in the process. Napoli have won three of their last four games and will be looking to build on that. An end-to-end game of football is expected as both sides thrive on attacking the game. The price might be a bit short, but Both Teams to Score is tipped at 5/10.

TREBLE @ 33/10

Atalanta Win 5/10

Juventus (-1) Handicap 13/20

Udinese Win 15/20
