Bafana Bafana boss Hugo Broos says the “upbeat spirit among” his players is “encouraging” ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The South Africa national team are in Cape Town in camp as they make their final preparations ahead of jetting out to the Ivory Coast.
While the majority of the squad have arrived in the Mother City, Broos is still waiting on Jayden Adams from Stellenbosch, Polokwane City’s Oswin Appolis as well as Aris Limassol’s Mihlali Mayambela.
After getting his full team together, Bafana head to Gauteng for a friendly with Lesotho on 11 January.
Their first AFCON clash is against Mali on 16 January.
Broos said in the Citizen: “I am happy that all the players are present with three (Jayden Adams, Oswin Appollis and Mihlali Mayambela) joining us in Cape Town, and we will then have a full squad.
“I’m confident in my team, the upbeat spirit among them and the big smiles presented on arrival in camp is encouraging.”
Broos added: “If this is anything to go by, it is the start of what is going to be a successful campaign. But we have hard work ahead of us, there is no doubt about that.”
