#HitTheTarget Podcast – Mamelodi Sundowns to break the 71 points record, Kaizer Chiefs to lose against Polokwane City

The curtain is about to be brought down in what has been an action-packed season that has seen Mamelodi Sundowns make history by bagging their seventh consecutive league title and are three games away from finishing without a defeat.

Stellenbosch’s impressive performance was rewarded with qualification for the continental (CAF) competition despite losing some of their key players during the start of the season. Steve Barker and Stellies are tipped as the strong candidates for team of the season.

In this latest episode of #HitTheTarget podcast, the panel discusses the battle between the two top teams in the league where Stellenbosch FC will host Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at Green Point Stadium in what will be the clubs’ second encounter this month following their Nedbank Cup semi-final match which took place on 5 May. Masandawana edged Stellies 2-1 to meet Orlando Pirates in the final.

Orlando Pirates will be out for redemption when they take on TS Galaxy following a 1-0 loss against Richards Bay. The Sea Robbers are facing the daunting task of going past the Rockets who are still eyeing a top-four finish. The visit to Mbombela Stadium will see the Soweto giants getting a feel of the field before meeting the Brazilians in the final on 1 June.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the log, Richards Bay FC will pull out all the stops when they visit Cape Town City in a bid to escape relegation. They have won two of their last three matches with the other one ending in a draw and are two points away from 14th place Royal AM who have suffered five straight losses.
